DARPA Student Video Contest on Societal Implications of Robotics
Robots are evolving from the realm of fantasy and fiction to become real-world devices in businesses, homes, and the military. How will the proliferation of robots of various kinds change society? How do YOU think robots could make a difference and how do YOU want them to change our lives?
DARPA—the Defense Department’s high-technology innovation agency—wants to know what you think. Create a 2- to 3-minute video that shows the kind of robot-assisted society you’d like to see in the years ahead.
VIDEO SUBMISSION DEADLINE
April 1, 2015 • 11:59 PM
The competition is open to U.S. high school students (grades 9-12). Five win- ners, with one parent or guardian each, will be selected to attend the DARPA Robotics Challenge Finals to be held on June 5-6, 2015, in Pomona, Calif., and will participate in a special event there on June 7, to discuss their ideas and views with a panel of experts on robotics and society.
